The Redskins, if unable to get Griffin III, should then trade back and use their 6th overall pick to acquire a mid 1st round selection and additional picks for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Then and only then would taking Tannehill be a smart move. At least we still get our QB even if it isn't truly the one we want, and we get more draft choices to fill other holes along the roster.
Try telling that to the dolphins, bills, seahawks, and even the chiefs and cardinals - all of whom pick at 13 or before. One of these teams - I would bet - pick Tannehill in the first. Tannehill is definitely not a polished qb, but he may have more potential than any other qb with the exception of Luck. In my opinion, the rest of qbs (after luck, RGIII, and Tannehill) aren't even worth the trouble of drafting because they don't seem to have the potential of even starting in the nfl.

The Shanahans are feeling the pressure of drafting their qb of the future in THIS draft- regardless of who they pick up in free agency. If they don't trade up to get RGIII, I think they have no choice but to draft Tannehill with the 6th pick.
