Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
I slightly say yes, but man it's close. Really allot to give up, but this franchise is in such dire need of a franchise QB, that I feel like we had to do it. There is a significant drop off between Luck/RGIII and everyone else... while it sounds great on paper to draft a guy in the second and have him learn for a year or two, how often does that really work out? Not saying guys never bust, but everything you see from RGIII has been gold. Not saying I'm happy about the 2 first rounders and second rounder just to move up four slots...but given way the organization has built itself the past few years, I think we're finally in a position to make this type of a deal.
We NEED to get a bigtime WR. I dont want to go nuts in free agency, except for that. Thats a must, we need a bigtime guy to come in, let Hank continue to develop and hopefully be a solid #2 who could develop into a #2 and then Moss to the slot. I think once we get a legit WR threat, we'll be so much more competitive.
