Since Rogers is younger than I was with either of my stress fractures, he should heal faster than I did. In addition there are "stimulating devices" available now that increase the rate of bone fracture healing; they did not exist when I had my stress fractures.

He'll be in training camp but they will keep a close eye on his running adn working out. By September, he should be OK. But he will almost certainly miss some practice reps and pre-season game time just to protect the injury from getting worse.

It's not great news, but it isn't nearly as bad as a torn Achiles tendon or something like that...
