I should probably add....regarding dirt. Me and DirtBag's favorite subject. What works in S. Fl may be death to your stuff in VA. AND because it can get costly at startup and buying dirt if you have to....Don't. At least not yet. It may be better to go with what you have with possibly some minor mods until you get some Q's answered. And what you already have, may be perfect...to early to tell.
Correct watering is probably the hardest thing to get right....Forum people that live in your area will be happy to help....
