Also the media attention might be a good thing because it introduces the fans to Kirk Cousins so down the road if he plays well in the preseason and then spot duty like Schuab and an owner wants to bring in a potential QB to appease the fan base or is thinking about approving a trade Cousins won't be a name out of left field.

Agree 100%... The media attention is beneficial; It's amazing that just 3-4 months ago, most didn't want Grossman back; we draft Cousins, and the ones who wanted Grossman out, are bitching about us drafting a better, and
younger backup QB in Cousins. Did we need to draft him? Maybe not. But the dropoff in talent and prodution between the starting QB and the backup QB is pretty huge on most teams in the league. It's always good to have a backup who can, and has the potential to start and win you games. There are so many positives about this pick: In 2-3 years, we can trade him for a high draft pick, we don't have to worry about the backup QB spot for at least 2-3 years, which means no more signing Grossman to 1 year deals, it motivates and pushes RG3 to perform at a high level, and it saves Shanahan's ass and gives him and Allen an insurance plan/Plan B, if RG3's (I hope not) a complete fail. But to start, KIRK COUSIN'S IS RG3'S BACKUP WHO JUST HAPPENS TO BE DRAFTED IN THE SAME YEAR AS RG3 AND 100 SPOT'S LATER.
