six years ago, two thirds of the players drafted in the 2nd and 3rd were still in the league at the end of last year. Of the 2nd and 3rd rounders drafted four years ago, more than 80% were still in the league at the end of 2011.
If minnifield
was a 2nd or 3rd round talent knocked out of the draft due to injury concerns (1) it wouldn't be the first time that had happened only to have the player come back and be a solid contributor; and (2) if we get 2nd or 3rd round production from minnifield we have a pretty good shot at many serviciable years.
