McNabb's problems have almost always come from his lack of fundamentals not his weight. And this goes for other QB's as well. For example all the bicep curls in the world aren't going to stop Rex Grossman from fumbling once every 18 snaps.

QB is virtually the only position in team sports where you're better off sitting in a dark room in front of a TV or projector then you are spending time in the weight room.

Being in muscular shape might not be as important, but if you're huffing and puffing and wheezing because you neglected cardio training...well, chances are that you will not be performing well.

And I would disagree Ben is such a slob. He couldn't play his sandlot football without being able to run well enough to make his escapes.
