The article stated that Hurt has been moved from G to Tackle which is probably part of the reason that the author thinks that his chances of making the team aren't very good. He would have to beat out Willie Smith, who looked like a talented prospect last season, and Tyler Polumbus, who has more experience than Hurt does at OT, to win a job as a backup.

Another reason may be that the coaches like LeRibeus as a backup at C and G and I'm guessing that Shanny isn't about to cut a 3rd Round draft pick in favor of moving Hurt back to G unless Hurt is clearly the better prospect. Tyler Polumbus is also getting a lot of reps at G.

But who knows what will happen? Preseason games are yet to come and there could be injuries on the OL. Hurt might make the roster, after all.
