Yeah, the Montero deal was BAD for the Yankees, even if the pitcher they got hadn't injured himself.
Is Seattle having money issues? Two unknown minor league pitchers for the greatest hitter in the game since Pete Rose? He's still great, not quite the Ichiro he used to be but worth way more than they got back in return.
Funny part about this deal...the two teams were playing in Seattle. Ichiro just showed up the the park as usual but went to the other locker room, suited up and went out and got a hit in his first AB as a Yank.
Crazy deal....never saw this coming. I didn't think Seattle would ever part with him. The fans are probably pisssed. Japan too...since Seattle was just a plane ride away.
