I'm excited to see what sort of innovations Gibbs and Co. come up with on offense. As much as we all criticized the team's predictability with the ball last year, its pretty much impossible to radically overhaul a system midseason. By the time they realized the ship was sinking, it was already too late

This offseason they've had ample time to think about why they failed last year, and what they need to do differently. We're really gonna find out quickly if the game has passed Gibbs by, because there's no excuses this time. I fully expect not only Shotgun, not only zone blocking, not only spread formation, but chicanery that us mere Madden-playing pedestrians can not yet even envisage.

Every comment I have read from players this preseason seems to identify such offensive reconfigurations as the number one reason to expect success next year; I hope they prove correct.
