There are distinct and mutually exclusive differences between how baseball/hockey/basketball broadcast their games and how the NFL does its games. The differences which are too numerous to even mention make it virtually impossible for what you are advocating to ever happen. The NFL broadcasts nationally. Teams do not negotiate local contracts like the other sports. Local broadcast affiliates only have contractual relationships with the parent networks...they are NOT "THE" network. The only thing a local Fox affiliate does is turn on the proper feed provided to them by the network. The do nothing in terms of producing the broadcasts.

Why in the world would the NATIONAL networks want to take on the headache of creating disparate broadcasts of every game with varying announce teams? You do realize the production of an NFL football game is probably insanely more complicated than the other sports right?
