He's mostly ran the 4-3 the past decade. It probably is a huge reason why Haslett wasn't Shanny's first choice as DC. I would like to see our DL get more of a push up the middle though, but I understand those guys don't have the size that Haloti Ngata does, but it would be nice. Now, I definitely think we could upgrade at MLB, and I would rather see another versatile OLB instead of Orakpo to be honest with you.
Pittsburgh had the #2 rated defense in the league the year prior to Jim Haslett taking over. The following year, they dropped to #6, then to #12 in 1998, and finally to #11 his final year in 1999.

I think I agree. The only reason I have any pause is because I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's getting harder and harder. I mean when GW was here, we had Rogers/Hall/etc. and we'd all talk about Hall getting his ass beaten like a drum. I truly don't feel like that's happening as much this scheme is getting beaten. I mean last week, there were receivers running free. This week, the coverage was good, just bad play calls in my opinion.
