Yeah it was over a decade ago, but it happened. Talk about "what have you done for me lately" what has Ramsey done other than show us flashes of potential? As much as I'm pulling for Ramsey to succeed for the Redskins, he has yet to earn any rights in the NFL. Especially any over Gibbs

I believe miami was offering up a couple of #1's a year ago, Parcells also had some good things to say when it was thought there may be a possibility of his avalibility when Gibbs took over, Riggin's has also made similar comment's concerning Ramsey and his situation, quite honestly I haven't heard another team say anything bad about the guy talent wise, but I have heard quite a lot coming from teams about how simplistic our offense was.
Bottom line if Gibbs put Ramsey on the block tommorow, I believe a bidding war would start.
In the word's of our own Clinton Portis, "the defenses know what's coming"
I have a question, if Portis was a first year back last season with no NFL record to speak of, what do you think his value would be right now? I would say a second round pick top's, far cry from a 50 million dollar back, so who is at fault there Gibbs or Portis?
Put Ramsey in the Patriot's system and he would be doing [IMO] as well as Brady, obviously that remains to be seen.
My bottom line is this, regardless of how many injuries to our O-line last season we should have been a far better team than we were PERIOD!
Gibbs went with Brunell when I said he was not a Gibbs type QB which is a pocket passer, which was why Coughlin wanted to get rid of him because he was more of a playmaker than a real QB, and Coughlin new he couldn't win with him, and I was right, I then said not to trade for Portis because he is not a Gibbs type back, and if we did we would have to restructure the blocking schemes to suit his running style, going away from what Gibbs did to win 3 super bowls, and guess what I was right, unfortunatly it took Gibbs a year to realize that.
Imagine where we would be right now as a franchise if we stuck with Ramsey, and traded Champ off for picks? We could be looking at Kevin Jones in our backfield, and we wouldn't have 93 million tied up in 2 players, and we would have a lot more talent on our team with the money and picks we would have saved, aint no way anyone is going to convince me otherwise.
