Re: SPECULATE: How can T.O. play with the Eagles this year?
Offensively this team scares no one w/ out Terrell. Westbrook's skill and ability is predicated on a spread, down field approach where Donovan can check off receivers who draw line backer and secondary coverage. You can single up every one of the WR's and have a LB spy him. Plus losing Chad Lewis to retirement is going to hurt more than they're willing to accept. He is quite familiar with the scheme and was consistent; LJ Smith is as inconsistent as they come.
I also think the Eagles FO are doing themselves a disservice by using last year's playoff run as a measuring stick. The NFC '04 playoff was weaker than ever. Minnesota's team was a joke. They beat an overwhelmed Green Bay team and had more issues than countable. The Falcons were a solid squad but had a suspect offensive scheme and were quite lucky in the final 8 games. By this assessment I'm stating that to say "we got there without TO, we don't need him now" is a lark. They need him more than he needs them to be honest.
