Not trying to speak for Smoot. But I can see why he would say something like that. Most people try to stop Peterson by loading the box with 8, but they tend to be spread across the entire line trying to each control a gap. AP is so good at pressing the hole and then doing a jump cut or quick cut that if he can break the LOS, he gets huge yards because the second level is spread thin. He also has a good enough line to create those gaps and to AP's credit, he is great as not only seeing the holes, but getting to those holes quickly.
