Here's how I interpret the deal:
He can void his contract as early as 2007 if he makes the Pro Bowl twice in the next 4 seasons. So basically, if he makes it in 2005 and 2006, he can opt to void his contact and become a free agent in the '07 season. BUT, the Skins will have the option to keep him by paying him $3.25M.
Forget about the $1.6M bonus, that's just window dressing to satisfy some sort of salary cap rule.

There is definitely a double edged sword feel to this contract, like all sports contract. There is always incentive driven language to ensure the player doesn't just crap out after he gets paid, since he would be very difficult to get rid of secondary to cap hit. There is a large payday if he plays well. I'm hopeful the redskins start minding the cap this year better than they have.
