I'll take it a bit further, if Cousins brings us into the playoffs, then trade RG3.
In that situation, I dont think we'd find a single team who would want RG3. They'd want Cousins. He would be cheaper to acquire and come with less question marks. In contrast, RG3 would be very expensive to trade for and he's already proven to be a constant injury concern.

Even when he comes back, you're always going to be worried and theres no evidence to beleive he will ever last an entire NFL season. its much easier for a player like RG3 to withstand a 12 game college season vs. an NFL season where he's exposed to contact in 19-24 games (if you include normal pre-season work and a potential superbowl run).

Its noteworthy that RGIII suffered his knee injury in week 15. It was the 17th game RGIII played in this year, 4 games more than he'd ever played in a college season. RGIII is very muscular and athletic, but his body frame is pretty lanky and his previous injuries mean he will be more succeptable to re-injurying his knees. After what we've seen in his first NFL season, its hard to have any confidence that his body can withstand the rigors of an NFL season. RGIIIs knees just might not be able to handle all the running, flexing, cutting, etc. that he makes in 19+ games.
