The injuries do matter and say what you want but take away a team's #1 QB and the O line and it gets very difficult. I'd let Jay finish out his contract and see what happens.

Some are underrating the Alex Smith Injury. He is also like a coach on the field for the other guys, and he probably helped Jay a ton. He's a smart QB so I can see losing him makes a bigger impact than just his play.
