You are more or less correct.
Seems to be two schools of thought. There are the purists who like grass fields, open air stadiums and feel the weather is part of the experience. The Packers, Steelers, and Redskins exemplify this.
Then there are those who like hyper-modern, newer the better places including domes. The Raiders and Cowboys would be students of this school.
