I'm just illustrating reasonable expectations when a QB joins a new offense. We need him to get better but reality is it takes time. I just know he went 11-4 in that first season as a Chief, while he was learning the ropes, and God willing it will be the same here.

Can we win a SB with Smith playing like this? No. But we knew that. Allow for the possibility he'll get better as he plays here, and draft for the possibility he won't.
Agree, but what I’ve noticed and believe me I’ve seen lots of Alex Smith in SF where I live. Maybe that’s why I’m more critical of him, currently he’s playing like the 49ers AS. I want him to succeed and I know he can do better, I want the Chiefs AS.
