Wait for Cam to be cut, and offer him a 2 year deal in the 8-10M/year range. Not only could Cam help Dwayne learn the new offense, but he could help him develop as an NFL player in general. We need a veteran backup anyways, and Cam provides us good insurance should Dwayne get hurt or under-perform. And if Dwayne busts this year, Cam can fill the same role next year for whatever rookie we draft.

The trouble with Cam as a backup is that ever time Haskins throws an INT or has a bad play, all the haters will come out and insist that Cam take over. People forget how bad some of the HOF QB were during their rookie seasons. I’m NOT saying Haskins is a future HOF, just that he be given this season to prove himself, or NOT, without having to look over his shoulder every game .
Peyton Manning has 26 TD / 28 INT
Dwayne Haskins. 7 TD / 7 INT
