Redskins Top 10 Plays of '05

On redskins.com they are showing the top 10 plays of 2005 of larry michael. 10 was the 76 yard screen Santana had against Kansas City. 9 was Mike Sellers absolutely plowing over Brian Dawkins. There are still 8 to come. Let's get some guesses and try to figure out #1 before it comes out or the top 3.

My top 3:
3. Sean Taylor fumble recovery and return for touchdown versus Philly.
2. Santana burning the cowboys secondary the first time to start things.
1. Santana burning the secondary of Dallas once again to put the Skins up 14-13 and the winning touchdown.

they'll combine the moss @dallas catches and that's the #1.
sean taylor's two fumble recoveries for TDs will probably be #2.

the thing about the dawkins play - he totally stream rolled the guy, but dawkins still managed to make the tackle, so its a bit of a wash... a highlight reel moment that only netted two extra yards. Nothing like the riggins TD run.

I think Lemar's pick while defending Shockey will make the top 5.

I was thinking that they might combine the Moss catches but I couldn't think of a good #2 without having Sean Taylor it there twice.

In no particular order:

Santana toasting the Cowboys for TD #1.
Santana toasting the Cowboys for TD #2.
Santana toasting the Giants for TD #2.
Santana toasting the Giants for TD #3.
CP hanging on Sellers Jersey for a TD.
ST for TD in the Bucs Playoff Game.
ST for TD in the Eagles Game.
Cooley bulldozing the Cowboys for TD #3.

I don't think #'s 9 and 8 were really top ten plays. 9 was a good play, but it was nothing great, just a fullback plowing over a db. 8 was dockery recovering the fumble in the eagles game, they called that the hustle play of the year. I thought it was important, it's kinda debatable, because if we hadn't recovered we likely would've lost the game, on the other hand there are more worthy plays.

Yea I just saw #8 and it was good hustle but that is expected from every player every play. Good to see but not very exciting and didn;t put any points on the board.

the 2 moss catches are #1
taylors fumble return #2
i think anthony brown kickoff return against arizona is in there somewhere
maybe portis run against philly to put the skins ahead
this year was so many good plays they are hard to remember them all
maybe cooleys 3 touchdowns against dallas

a few that havent been mentioned:

Moss' TD on a screen pass against the chiefs.
Ryan Clarks hit on Tim Carter of the giants.
Portis Knocking out Quarles of the Buccs in the playoffs.
Ade Jimoh with a big hit on punt coverage in seattle.
Ryan Clarks interception in the redzone against the eagles to end the game and put us in the playoffs.

Re: Redskins Top 10 Plays of '05

I loved the pick for the TD on Christmas Eve. Shockey;s reaction alone was worth top ten honors, but the fact that it went for a score should put it into the top three.

What about Sean Taylor's hit at the end of the MNF dallas game that should have been called a catch and a fumble. It completely sealed that game and it probably caused dallas' receivers to fear Taylor even more (if that's possible).

Brunell to Moss I and II are definitely the top plays of 2005, without those plays who knows how the season turns out.
