Madden predictions for the 2007 season

after reading so many clueless predictions (hello there, SI), I figured why not ask the expert.
Using an updated roster and simming through the season in one go:

Skins 10-6
Giants 10-6
Cowboys 7-9
Eagles 7-9

notes:
-extensive injury problems - brunnel (13 starts), portis (5 starts), lloyd, el, daniels, frost
-moss and cooley put up the two man show again, betts and duckett do well

-27 sacks from the DL (10 - carter, 7 - wynn)

#2 in defense
#20 in offense

pro bowlers:
-santana moss
-randy thomas
-jon jansen
-marcus washington
-sean taylor
-bill lafleur (frost got injured week 4 of preseason and then lost his job to this guy)

this should be just as accurate as anyone else's projections, and includes far more depth

Definitely alot more injuries in Madden '07. I started a franchise and lost Portis off the bat for 6 weeks, Samuels for 9 weeks and Taylor for 9 weeks. I noticed there are injury sliders now, but I haven't messed around with them.

Well i'm currently doing a superstar mode career and i'm a strong safety with the skins right now, and i went 16-0 and won every game by a score along the lines of 63-10. And there were few injuries. Portis topped over 2000 yards rushing on over 400 carries, Moss led the league in reception yards and td's, and Rogers and Springs had 13 interceptions a piece, and our whole secondary made the Pro Bowl. Carter also had 22 sacks, tying Gap Tooth's record. We won every playoff game by the same amount in the regular season, and i won the Super Bowl beating the titans 58-0.

Mooby, What were you doing? playing your 5 year old younger brother or something? Did you have it on Rookie mode? At least be realistic in your gameplay. Losing a few games is realistic. Beating every team 63-10 is not.

you can't hit load in real life.

and actually playing the games = complete QB suckage vs simming.

My superstar character got drafted my the chiefs, so I quit and didn't save. I couldn't figure out how to get my guy on the Skins. Did you find a way...or was it just luck?

Has Gibbs placed a call to Bill Lafleur yet?

Re: Madden predictions for the 2007 season

nah, Gibbs replaced John Hall with Todd Peterson and Derrick Frost with Kyle Richardson.

@Krills: my SS mode player got drafted by the Browns, but at the start of the regular season i requested a trade and i got traded to the Skins.

As for the scores and the stats and all that, i was playing it on pro, not All Madden just because i haven't changed the settings yet. I'm sure if i was simming it that would've made it more realistic too.

at least with luck it's possible... he was a 77 after the year, 73 before (frost is a 69). his yardage wasn't great, but he was #2 in the league in I20 punts (behind moorman) and that's the only reason he made the PB.

those are pretty pitiful stats though.
