F... total losers!
They may be close family members, in-laws, or just old friends, but these people are always in trouble for something. These people are always making the worst choices, and always calling you for help (bail money). I have an inlaw who is a total F... up! Since I met my wife 7 years ago this guy has been arrested at least 25 times for a number of offenses including but not limited to:
1. Distribution of heroin 2. DUI 3. DWI 4. Assult 5. Failure to pay child support 6. and the latest charge, Theft! My wife got a call this morning from this person and basically this is the story we got: He got a job in N.O.. He is working for a constuction company rebuilding homes in that area. He had been there all of 2 days when he was arrested for stripping abandoned homes of copper and any other thing that he could make money off of. Of course he calls me asking for 5 grand to help get him out of jail. F-that!! He can rot in jail for all I care. Anybody have a similar experience with this? This guy is a total loser and he always has some extravigant excuse why he is in the position he is in. |

Re: F... total losers!
Yeah, i got em. Hell I was that guy getting into the trouble for a while, but I always bailed myself out or did my time. I have kids now and a career and all that, and the tables are turned.
Yeah I got a pair in my family. Also, my step sister is going insane. We always knew she would be a lesbian, but now she's all goth or emo or some shit. I get you, buddy I get you.

I use to date a girl whose family was always f..ed up. They were basically homeless. I love the excuses that were thrown out every day. NEVER ASK HOW THEIR DAY WAS. Oh god that what start the crying and begging for money.

Re: F... total losers!
This reminds me of my fiancee's aunt in a way.
While she doesn't get into a lot of trouble, she gets along mooching like a mother ****er off her relatives. She lived in Hawaii for years, but only by "borrowing" a vacation house for those years. She didn't pay any of the taxes or rent, and actually had the nerve to bitch when they asked her to pony up some cash. Now she lives in Park City AGAIN living with her relatives. My fiancee's grandma gives her, a grown woman, $600 in basically "pity cash" to get by on, while my fiancee and I who are FAR newer at living on our own than her nothing, which is fine by me, I don't like handouts. She's calling us and raising hell that we're having our wedding in the Keys saying it's too expensive for her. I've got some news, if you can't afford it, don't come. I won't lose any sleep.

Yes, and during Christmas I was down in Florida with her and her family and the grandma paid for everything. While we got something adequate, she would order 2-3 mixed drinks, a steak all the while complaining they had to hang out with grandma.

Re: F... total losers!
I have this aunt that mooches off of me like a mofo. I can't say no to her because she is my mother's sister and my mother would be upset with me if I said something negative to her. So what I do? I just don't answer her phone calls. It works quite well. Hahah.

Re: F... total losers!
The people who take handouts, are the ones who complain the most. People who work hard for themselves complain much less. I think it was Maslow who said that happiness comes from achieving goals. Freeloaders don't have many goals, and they don't achieve them. Therefore, they are not happy. Sucks for them. (but not really)

Re: F... total losers!
Yeah, it sucks, even though the things I could do with six hundred extra bones a month would be excellent. But in the end, I'd just feel like grandma's bitch.

Re: F... total losers!
Life is too short to bog yourself down by worrying about the fate of losers like this. Cut these people out of your life altogether.
Makes it tough when it's your wife's brother. But definitely don't pay any money on his behalf. If you can't convince your wife to completely sever ties with him, at least don't enable his pattern of illegal behavior. Giving him ANY kind of help would do just that. And NEVER buy into their claims that they plan to reform. For every 1 guy you're wrong about, you'll be right about 99 of them if you simply assume that their claims are full of shitake mushrooms.

Re: F... total losers!
I have helped this person before only to have it blow up in my face. When he was first arrested in '00 i think, he was charged with Distribution of heroin. He gave me this big sob story about how he was framed. He told me it was all a setup. Somebody came to his house to drop "something" off that somebody else was supposed to come by later and pick that "something" up. When the other person came by, he was wearing a wire.
The only reeason I helped him out is because there was a child involved. His girlfriend was in trouble too because she was there and the state was gonna take his kid. I gave him $3000 for a lawyer retainer fee. Of course here it is 7 years later and I have yet to see a dime of that money. The thing that gets me the most is what he did this time to get arrested. Stealing from people who have already lost everything. If he is willing to do something like that, why would he care about stealing something from me? He has already stolen from his dad. His mother put up her home to get him out of jail the last time. Now that he is in N.O. i don't know if she is gonna lose her home or not. |
