How lame were the SB commercials?
As a whole I was disappointed by the SB commercials. I think that it is amazing how much money companies put into airing a commercial that just plain sucks. I wonder how many marketing executives are on the hot seat for backing a commercial that blew chunks....
My favorite was the Kevin Ferderline one... YouTube - Kevin Federline (Rap Commercial) I actually think this commercial has been on TV before the SB. But still one of the best during the game. |

I just knew that Geico would have one with the cavemen.

Re: How lame were the SB commercials?
They were definately weak compared to most years. So was the halftime show as usual...but that's slightly better than it has been the last few years with the ugly no-talent whores they've had. I would've even preferred the Rolling Stones again...at least we can laugh and make bets on what song he'll throw his hip out in.
The only commercial I really liked (and remember) was the guinnea pig and rabbit trying to use a "mouse". But hey...I don't care about that stuff. The GAME was good. ![]() Was it just me, or should there have been MORE mud with the rain. I know Marino said the drainage is "superb", but was that fake grass? I didn't think so, because you could see some grass stains on uniforms and grass on Colts' helmets. A muddier game would've been GREAT to watch...not so good for Grossman though! |

YouTube - Super Bowl Ad (99?) E*Trade - "Wasted $2 Million Bucks"

Super Bowl Commercials 2007 - AOL Sports
IMO, some of the better ones: Bud Light - Faceoff Doritos - Crash (Commercial was done for less than $13) Bud Light - Classroom Bud Light - Slap Taco Bell - Lions Emerald Nuts - Office I'm convinced that Anheiser-Busch works with the best Ad people in the business.

Re: How lame were the SB commercials?
The best one was the Bud Light hitch-hiker with the axe... and the axe guy going, "but he's got a chainsaw!"
THAT was my favorite of last night...

Re: How lame were the SB commercials?
By far, my favorite was Robert Goulet on the ceiling (Emerald Nuts), and the Bud Light "Slap" commercial, though I missed the very beginning.
Was there a blockbuster summer movie that was shown? All I saw was the swimming movie "Pride", and the comedy with John Travolta and William H. Macy. That looked pretty funny. |

As far as actual commercials I like the Doritos crash, Budlight paper/rock/scissor, Blockbuster's one, the fight to the death for the promotion, and the budlight hitchhiker one. overall a really weak superbowl as far as funny commercials and sweet movie trailers goes.
