Talking Where do you think most of our pass rush will come from?

I am probably going to get yelled at but where do you guys think most of our pressure will come from the d line the linebackers or the secondary. I think it will come from andre carter on the d line marcus washington form the backers and landry from the secondary

Washington: 10 sacks (will rush from d end spot some)
Carter: 7.5 sacks
Landry: 4 sacks

thoughts???????????????????????

ps we should trade taylor for archuleta and briggs j/k lol

Well, realize pressure and getting sacks are two different things.

The pressure could come from Landry, Washington, hell....one year Springs led the team in sacks with six. I believe that's never been done before by a cornerback, by the way. But pressure could translate into actual sacks for the D-line.

If I had to put my money on it right here, right now, I would say a healthy Andre Carter will lead the team in sacks.

I'll put my money on Carter having a BIG season, and leading the sack race with 11.

We will have many more from all around our defense. suprise, suprise!

Carter Springs and Landry. The beauty is that you are talking about 3 different areas of the field. Gregg Williams for President!

I agree. And while I don't see any corners having significant sack totals, I think our vastly revamped secondary will help the D-line. Receivers aren't gonna be nearly as open as they were last year. Opposing QBs are gonna have to hold the ball longer to check down through their reads, creating a little something we never saw last year called COVERAGE SACKS. But based on the way Carter started to catch fire in the last few games of '06, I see him having a monster season. We NEED him to. Earn that phat paycheck, Andre.

I think our biggest pass rush will come from blitzing corners and safeties.

I think Rhonde Barber did it one year, but I think what Springs did was he lead the team in interceptions and sacks; which had never happened before.

I think our best pass rush will come from someone not yet on our team.

Re: Where do you think most of our pass rush will come from?

For success we need to have roughly 35 sacks. Here's how I break it down.

A Carte 9
M Washington 6
P Daniels 4
C Griffen 3
D Evans 3
L Landry 4
S Taylor 3
S Springs 2
R Mcntosh 2

Carter should reach double digits and the next highest will be none other than Kedric Golston.
