Gatti v. Gomez
I love boxing. Did anyone catch the Gatti v. Gomez fight this weekend? Gatti is one of my all time favorites, he is truly one of the greats, but Gomez kicked the shit out of him! Man, that was one ass whoopin. Catch the replay on HBO if you can.

Gomez was actually in that NBC show, "The Contender" before it bit the dust. He's got some power.

Re: Gatti v. Gomez
That was awful to watch Gatti get pummeled like that.

Ever since the first episode of the Contender where he called out Manfredo... I don't think he has any power. He destroyed Gatti with skill. I can't believe how bad Gatti looked. He used to be a beast. |

Re: Gatti v. Gomez
I don't follow boxing too much, and I don't want to hijack, but I've been waiting for this guy to show up: Nikolai Valuev. He's ugly as sin, and probably the biggest, hairiest boxer I've ever seen. Ironically, I think he might be too soft though.

Re: Gatti v. Gomez
It's nice to see that the heavyweight division is finally starting to regain some steam. Once Lennox Lewis hit the top, it was stagnant for a long time, and ever since his retirement, it's starting back up again.
Hopkins/Wright is this weekend on PPV. However my favorite fighter right now is Miguel Cotto. The kid is incredible... If you guys want to peruse a good general fighting forum, check out BloodyKnux.com. One of my good friends is one of the moderators, and does a lot of the interviews with the fighters for the site.
