DE Daniels Downgraded to Doubtful vs. Eagles
Has anyone got any word on why Danials had a boot on his right foot yesterday and Redskins park ? He said he was " Day to Day " ? I believe I saw the interview on NBC 4 sports ? I Hope it is VERY minor !

Re: DE P. Daniels
He said he sprained his foot, and that he should be ready to go against the Eagles.

Re: DE P. Daniels
Daniels is a loser...all righteous, supposed locker room leader and all...only talks the talk, never walks the walk...much like Wynn - I rejoiced the day that overpaid piece of $hit got cut.
Daniels' being healthy or injured will have a neglible impact on our chances of being a playoff bound team this year. |

I wonder how he feels about Lloyd and Springs.

Re: DE P. Daniels
In 2002, 2003, and 2004, Renaldo Wynn led the D line in tackles. He also never made more than $2.5 million with the Skins in a given year (signing bonus excluded), so "overpaid" seems a little strong.
Renaldo also did a Q&A session with us at Redskins Warpath. That means he's contributed more to this site than you have. So insult someone else, because Renaldo is a friend, and I take that personally.

Re: DE P. Daniels
I still can't figure out why we cut him...I'm glad Chris Wilson made the team and all but he wasn't even active for the game was he?

Daniels is average, if he plays or not it wont make a big difference. Maybe Evans will have a big day and challenge Daniels for that starting job

Re: DE Daniels Downgraded to Doubtful vs. Eagles
Yeah Wynn hasn't done anything other than be a classy guy who did everything he could for the team to deserve that criticism. Daniels is getting up there in age and probably will be gone after this year too (or possibly be moved to a backup role) but they have both been great leaders during their time here.
As for Evans, I think he'll do fine. He's been a good backup for us over the course of his career, and I think he has more pass rushing skills in him than Daniels. His weak spot is probably the run though. And welcome to the site Big Boss.

Re: DE Daniels Downgraded to Doubtful vs. Eagles
Thought we should have cut Wynn, Brunnel, Daniels, Jansen, Springs and signed Dockery. I did not think that Thomas and Jansen deserved the huge contracts that they got just to restructure. They already made big money. We could have gotten buy this year without restructuring deals and next year we could have signed a receiver and corner back. But calling him the piece of sh-- is crazy.
He is good against the run and fair against the pass. At this point he is on the roster and the second best end we have. |

Re: DE Daniels Downgraded to Doubtful vs. Eagles
Hopefully Demetric Evans will have a big game and further solidify the current youth movement. I'm concerned b/c our pass rush wasn't exactly dominant against Miami, and Philly has a far better O-line than the Dolphins.

Re: DE Daniels Downgraded to Doubtful vs. Eagles
There was talk this offseason about Marcus Washington lining up some at DE. Wouldn't surprise me to see quite a bit of that this Monday with maybe Godfrey getting some playing time.

Re: DE Daniels Downgraded to Doubtful vs. Eagles
I think they may have held off on the Marcus Washington DE experiment last week to make sure his elbow was going to be okay. As a DE you have to drive with your arms in a guys chest constantly. I love the idea of him as a pass rusher. Hopefully we get to see it Monday.
