jsarno's top 5 picks week 5.
week 1- $50
week 2- $250 week 3- $50 week 4- (-$50) total +$300 1- Cincinnati +16- Wow, 16 points. I figured this would be a 10-12 spread, but to give 16, that's too much to pass up. A team can easily win by 14 and people think it was a thrashing, so 16 should be a safe pick. (emphasis on "should") haha. 2- Chicago -3.5- It has become clear that the loss of Martz in Detriot, and the upper management turmoil is too much for this team to overcome. Chicago is a tough team (as evident by their appearance on my top 10 power poll) the Bears should win by 7 or more. 3- San Diego -6.5- Miami is not as good as they looked vs New England, and San Diego's offense is looking good. If this was a 7 spread, I might have stayed away, but it's 6.5, so I'll gladly take it. 4- Indianapolis -3- Here I am...again...taking the Colts. I'm THINKING the bye week has them regrouping. This team still has the ability to be dominant, and they like to whip up on Houston. 5- Washington +6- Here I am...again...taking the Skins with the spread. Just 2 weeks ago I said I never take the Skins, and I'm going to the well again because I feel 6 is too much to give in this game. I feel that win or lose, the game will be decided by 3 points. Of course, as usual, I hope I am right. as always, feel free to disagree. Kinda hoping I get more people to disagree this time since when people disagree, I win, last week, several agreed with me, and I lost. haha.

If I HAD to bet on it, I'd take the Pats -3. (san fran is the underdog, so they have +3) The bye week should be good for the pats and Cassel, and SF is not a great team. I'd be surprised if San Fran could pull out the win.

I'm just not sure what to expect from Denver at this point, but my thoughts are with Denver in Denver. But again...I wouldn't really touch this game.

Tampa lost by exactly three. Who wins that?

Depends on who you bet with...if it's Vegas, push goes to the house. With my bookie, push is a tie, and no one wins.

Nice picks jsarno, I had SD as well. Sheesh is right, they cost me a lot in a parlay with the Skins! Oh well i'm happy with a Skins win in philly.
