Redskins signing rookie class of 2009

Skins sign LB Glenn and FB Williams to rookie deals. Four to go.

You know, I really think Cody Glenn is going to be a player at this level. I don't think anyone else we drafted in the last two rounds is going to make much of an impact, but I think CG will stick.

^^ I don't, but I think Henson could be a great OLB and that some of the undrafted guys will do better than the drafted guys (excluding orakpo and barnes of course) like edwin Williams and jaison Williams

I dissagree GT, Henson looks like the impact player, but we'll soon find out.

I haven't really seen either so no clue. Haven't read a lot about them either. Are you guys going on their college days or have I been missing a good source for info?

I'm basing it on production, Henson's experience at LB, as well as his duribility I don't think he missed a game in college. Glenn seems like a raw project to me.

He seems to be raw but someone with a good skill set. Probably a special teams guy this year.

I think everyone of our picks is going to be a HOF player.

His resume makes him look like the best athlete of the group, though M. Mitchell sounds good too. Glenn might have the most upside, so I'd agree w/you in that he might eventually have the most impact.

From what I read it sounds like he was a stretch or a bit of a gamble even in the 5th round. Gotta say this about Vinny; if he wants a player he picks him no matter what the majority of nfl scouts think & whoever else calls his picks a "reach." Rinehart, Kelly (lesser so), Brooks, Brennan & Glenn are some examples. If these guys pan out (maybe even Brooks, though somewhere else ) I think it boosts Vinny's stock tremendously.

I'm looking forward to seeing Glenn play, hopefully he's not another Dallas Sartz...I remember Mitchell doing pretty good last year against the Terps in their bowl game

Lets just get Orakpo signed so he can be there for all of training camp

Whats your reasoning about Glenn....gut feeling, or you know something I don't about him. Personally, I think he'll never see the field.

Re: Redskins signing rookie class of 2009

can't speak for GT, but what sounds good about him is that he made a switch to LB from RB. He started & apparently played fairly well (haven't seen him either). the fact that he didn't play the position his entire college career could mean that he is still adjusting to it. Probably putting on more weight while trying to maintain speed. Thus, maybe he's on a learning curve that could pan out in a couple years.

Someone mentioned Dallas Sartz, but this pick reminds me of McCune. Remember how much the warpath loved him? Never played a down in the reg. season for us.
