Peter King on SNF
Soo did anyone happen to see Peter King's comments on SNF?
He basically stated that VC DS and Zorn just had a meeting and Zorn has been asked to relinquish his play calling duties (not an ultimatum but a suggestion) in order to concentrate on head coaching duties and coaching the qb. Do you think Zorn will agree to that? Tony Dungy commented that would be the biggest mistake Zorn can make. What do you guys think?

Re: Peter King on SNF
One of two things behind this move. Either Snyder truly has no plans to fire Zorn during the season but sees that something has to change or he's trying to demonstrate that he's not actively impulsively and just firing the coach by giving him the option to stay and fix things.
Either way, as Michael Ray Richardson once said, the ship be sinking.

Re: Peter King on SNF
one shot after another and another. this thing is coming to an end fast if this is true its not a suggestion
i think zorn should just take over as our starting qb for about one game then get a free pass back to seattle |

Then we'd be able to really see who at fault for this POS poor excuse of a competitive squad. Can Zorn possibly be anymore usurped than he has this season??? Grow a sack of testicles and stand up for yourself. I know the money is good but how far are you willing to discredit your professional career? Signing a deal with Snyder is doing a deal with the devil...you gain the world but lose your soul in the process.

Re: Peter King on SNF
sounds like the groundwork for his firing he refused to give up the playcalling so he was fired dungy is right he would show the team he didn't have faith in himself so why then would the team have faith in him (if it does)

Yeah Dungy said that's what led to him loosing his job in Tampa and Zorn should give the front office an ultimatum: either let me coach my way or fire me.

Why doesn't the front office just give him an effing club level seats to the next game. That's pretty much what they are telling him. Cerrato: "...Hey Zorn...take these, they're in section 108, seat 5. Just glance over at GB and Sherm every other play or so and see if they're still awake. Thanks pal!" Zorn should not stand for this if he has any professional scruples. He's completely making an ass of himself from a professional standpoint. ZORN...THEY CAN'T FIRE YOU WITHOUT PAYING YOUR ENTIRE SALARY! If it's about the money then take it and have them fire you.

Re: Peter King on SNF
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I think it's a great idea. Even Gibbs gave up playcalling in Gibbs 2.0 and just about everyone agreed that Zorn was taking on too many jobs in trying to be everything. If I was Zorn I'd ask for a written promise (with a million dollar bonus if Danny renigs) that he not be removed until after the season and see how it goes with someone else calling plays. It's still his gameplan, offense and direction.

Re: Peter King on SNF
DS is basically saying look let Sherm get the play calling duties so he can get some weeks under his belt and so we can fire you after the bye so step aside and goodbye.
