Why we should not draft Sean Taylor

Many of you have heard Sean Taylor's workout at Miami was less than stellar. Although numbers arent everything, Taylors didn't live up to the hype:

Taylor stood in at 6-2½, weighed 228 pounds (two pounds less than at the combine), and ran three times for a 4.51 average. He added 11 strength reps, a 10-foot-1 long jump, a 35-inch vertical jump, and opted not to run any of the shuttle drills.

It's gonna be hard for him to hit NFL players very hard if he can only do 11 strength reps.

Kinda reminds me of Maurice Clarrett, getting lazy about the draft.

I don't trust combine workouts. Players whose stocks rise/fall dramatically because of the workouts are over/underrated. About the only great thing about the combine is the ability to interview players. Players might be coached prior to the interviews, but perceptive coaches can see through BS.

Taylors' best workout was on the field and he performed marvelously.

here here Ramsey!

Taylor also had a hamstring injury so give the man a break. Taylor is an amazing player and a total stud.

well anquan bolden had a bad workout at the combine and ran slow times, and all he did was make the pro bowl as a rookie.

All I care about is what a guy does on the field.

Taylor is, and will be a top 5 pick.

I won't ba sad if the 'Skins pick up Lynch at safety, and then draft Winslow.

that may happen, especially with the rams matching butler's offer sheet.i think having john lynch in the skins secondary would really be awesome. i bet he signs with the jets.he is really close to herman edwards.

Go Skins,
Fortunately the sport we are drafting a player for is football and not working out.
Otherwise, Trung Canidate and Mike Mamula would be in the NFL hall of fame.
S Sean Taylor's talent, toughness and contributions can not be measured with a stop watch or a weight bar. He plays with heart, a great team leader and one hell of a hitter. Kind of like Alvin Walton, but Taylor has twice the talent Alvin had.
I would be fine if we take Winslow, but they should trade down to get him.
He is not worth the #5 pick.
Any defensive lineman we draft will be a project. There was no immeadiate star in last years draft and there is less of a chance in this year. Plain and simple the D-lineman this year are not as highly rated as in prior years.
DE Keneche Udeze however intriuges me, because as a one dimensional speed rusher, he could be a contributer, but only as a situational pass rusher. Keneche at 260 pounds would get run over against the run vs. the pro OT's. He would be a part time player at best.
