I need some sympathy!

OK, I need some sympathy here from my fellow skins fans. I have just learned that I am moving to Texas!

May the good Lord shine on me to weather all the Dallas idiots! And may my mission be successful in converting all of Texas to Redskin Country!

Damn, I hate TX.

You know outside of Dallas, I'm a Texas, country type of guy. You're going right into the dragons fire, but at least its not Philedalphia. Southern Girls are hot too

Where in Texas? It's a BIG place.

Some areas of Texas are really nice places to live and some others are sorta like where the Good Lord would put the tube if he decided to geve the Earth an enema.

i live just north of dallas, i talk friendly sh!t everyday with cowpuke fans. it's been pretty fun this year bashing each others teams, seeing as how they both suck!!! jbcjr14, you'll definitely have to have the nfl sunday ticket, b/c all they play here is either dallas or houston games, it's disgusting.

also, sportscurmudgeon is right, if you are by chance moving anywhere near the texas panhandle, jump off a friggin' cliff, oh and make sure there's rocks at the bottom b/c you don't want to have to live through that sh!t. west texas IS the arm pit of hell.

I am moving to the Austin area. Suppose to be nice and will be there this weekend. I currently reside in Florida and have the NFL Ticket and will NOT go anywhere without it!

Thanks for all the sympathy!

Austin TX is a wonderful place. Now you are going to have to take up some kind of appreciation for Texas Longhorn football and to a lmuch esser extent basketball, but you will like living in Austin.

I think it was Darrell Royal (former UT football coach and then AD) who said that the biggest sports in Texas are:

1. College football
2. College football spring practice
3. High school football
4. Touch football

That might give you an idea of the sporting landscape there...

When you are looking for trips to take to discover what your new surroundings are like, let me echo the sentiments expressed here earlier. Stay away from the panhandle; it is pretty bleak - - on its best days.

San Antonio is a nice town that has far too little national recognition.

Thanks sports for the words of encouragement! Daseal, no doubt, if you get in we can have a party every Sunday at my place for the games.

Don't forget about how fun it will be once the Skins really get things going! You will have that many more people to harass on the daily basis!

From one TexSkin to a soon to be.........WELCOME!!! Austin, isn't so bad, but all they talk about it is UT...Football, basketball.........
The traffic can be atrocious there but overall it's a nice town, Wear your Redskin gear proudly. And be forewarned all those Cowboy fans will be telling you, "all we have to do is beat the Redskins, and that's our Superbowl." ...Although summers can be sometimes brutal, the humidity is not as bad as Florida, and you may actually experience cool weather every so often...and you won't need to worry about hurricanes.....just severe thunderstorms and flooding........Journey down to San Antonio if you want to catch some good NBA basketball, and in April party at Fiesta, the riverwalk is nice especially at Christmas, and for NON-UT football take in the AlamoBowl........Take Care................
