I have to agree.

I don't why but it truly did.

Great player and has always left me thinking what could have been...

Out safety position hasn't been the same since he left. Of course with one of the GOATs playing the position how could it be!??

Re: RIP Sean Taylor

He might have become the greatest free safety ever, and was certainly the hardest hitting one that I've ever seen. I still watch his highlights on YouTube, and perhaps my favorite Taylor hit was on Patrick Crayton to help preserve the Monday Night Miracle in 2005 (at 1:53 in the video). RIP Sean.

Agreed. Still to this day it sucks. I did meet him once when I had field passes in Tampa, a story I've told here many times; just an awesome dude and a great football player. Still very missed. RIP 21

RIP, what things might have been with him here. He would have been our RGIII on D and I mean that in a good way.

Yep. I hope his wife and daughter are doing good now, I imagine their pain and sadness is about 10 times worse than what I feel.

He already was our RG3 on D. I attended about 10 games when Sean was here - TV never did justice for how thoroughly he took away the middle of the field AND how fearful opposing receivers were venturing into his domain. I saw Randy Moss outright quit on routes over the deep middle to avoid Sean's wrath.

Hard to believe it's been 6 years.
There is no doubt.....many receivers in the NFL are very happy not to face #21 on the field. He inspired an epidemic of alligator arm play when facing the Redskin secondary. Truly a great story for the NFL and sports in general. A life cut short in a home invasion gone bad......for money? A true tragedy.
RIP # 21........

Re: RIP Sean Taylor

AND
....basically single handedly, his level of play would transform our D to an asset rather than it's current state. Although, no doubt under the current "Roughing" rules, he would be living in Roger Goodell's office.......

The amazing thing if you look at his highlights on YouTube, most of Sean's big hits were led by the shoulder to the opponent's body, and not to the head. Today's pansy officiating would have ruled "Defenseless Receiver" for his hit on Crayton in the Monday Night Miracle, even though it was a shoulder to Crayton's midsection. Taylor would have been penalized for the sheer violence of his hits, even if they were legal upon later review.
