Gari Scott waived.

This kind of makes me sad. Two receivers I really liked in training camp were Richmond Flowers and Gari Scott. Now they're both gone! For a punter no less! Tom Tupa was our MVP last season!

No biggy. But it is fun to get attached to worthless players just for kicks. I was a Scott Cloman fan for a while, I thought he was a poor man's TO!

Re: Gari Scott waived.

Let's not even get started about people being attached to worthless players.

Sultan McCullough anyone?

He was supposed to be the next Walter Payton according to some!

Yeah, I wish I was on the board for him. My Dad was like, "This guy is GREAT!" and I'm like "Dad, he's playing against scrubs."

How about getting attached to worthless veterans? Chad morton? Jimoh? Barrow? Brunell? (cough cough). Sometimes..its just easier to dig on the rookies than have hope in the old guys

I haven't given up on Brunell yet, we may need him at some point during the season.

Re: Gari Scott waived.

Brunell already cut us some cap slack for this year, there's not much more that can be done though. We'll eat his deal sooner or later.

I wish we'd kept and developed Cloman especially with our main big receiver about to leave town soon. I think he was one of the camp guys that I rooted for the hardest to make the team in recent memory.

Is the stream of the games to England that slow??? Are you just now getting to the 3rd game in the 2004 season???

Riggo44:

You asked who is/was Gary Scott?

He is someone who is known only to the kinds of folks who take rotisserie football leagues WAAY too seriously. These folks study camp rosters hoping to find that diamond in the rough that no one else knows about so they can steal them on the 19th round of their league fantasy draft. Problem is that Gari Scott was just another camp straphanger...

Hope that helps.
