What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
Its about the time fellas for pre-season football! A hardcore football fan's first real fix. We all know the games don't count but they do matter.
Simple question: What are you looking for (offense/defense/special teams) in the first pre-season game of season 2 of Jay's regime? |

RGIII moving the offense down the field without breaking anything.
Please dear baby Jesus. It's not so much to ask. |

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
I want to see:
a) improvement from RGIII in his patience in the pocket, keeping his downfield, and feeling the rush; b) some indication that JG is tweaking the offense to play to some of RGIII's strength's, play-action, screens, quick reads along with movement of the pocket or roll-outs; c) the DL making some dominant plays. d) Matt Jones I will also be watching the OL play pretty carefully even the 2nd and 3rd lines. Mostly, I want to see the Moses/Scherff tandem on the right side. At the same time, I think there are some young guys here who could develop into good starters or at worst, really good back-ups, and I want to see how they hold up. I want to see how Long and AK do against second string guys.

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
There are so many areas to look at especially since I didn't make it to training camp this year.
First things first OL, I want to see Scherff and Moses on the right side. In many respects the season weighs heavily in their grasp. Can they get push or are they stalemated at the point? How are they getting to their landmark on zone runs, are they doubling and scraping to the next level LB and getting their man? Who pulls in the power game? Are they fluid in movement? Are they nasty? Can they anchor (and for the love of all that is holy) not get pushed back in pass game? Does Moses (especially) anchor, kick-step, use his hands better then last year? Who plays back-up LT when Trent goes out? I'm looking at Arie and Long vs Lauvao how far are they away from each other and from him. Who comes in at back-up RT? I hope its Scherff. Where does Josh get playing time? |

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
I want to see improvement in the trenches, on both sides of the ball. The front seven on defense has been remade, and I want to believe it was for the better. I would love to see the defense attack and look to cause disruption for the browns offense. Especially since we dont have the strongest secondary, which is also heavily injured at the CB position as of now. It may not show with so many CB's out, but the front seven should show better.
For offense, I want to see a good running game and the QB's getting through their progressions effectively and finding the right receiver in the passing game. Throw it away if you have to, but the progressions and knowing when and who to throw to should be closely scrutinized. |

I just want to see it. Nothing on in S.C. I'll be damned if I pay for Sunday Ticket, and another 100 for the preseason games.....SMDH.

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
1) RGIII's movement in the pocket. (Esp under pressure)
2) The hype around Matt Jones. 3) How both lines perform. 4) The supposed new "aggressive" mindsight of the defense.

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
I'm calling it here. After watching him in training camp a lot.
TE Hamm will blow up tonight and look great. He was a WR that made the transition to TE early in his career. It looks like he's finally ready to make that step. He's bigger and Faster then Niles. I look for him to make the 53 and knock off L. Paulsen. Especially if Logan is out for the year.

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
More defensive pressure up front is mainly what I'm hoping for. That was by far our biggest area of improvement this past off-season.

Re: What are you looking for vs the Browns '15?
There is so much to watch for, I could name a thousand things. Rookie performances, defensive line being much more stout, etc. But nothing stands above QB performance (quick progressions, get rid of the ball on time) and looking like we're starting to form a physical, nasty identity.
