Which positions are likely to see notable changes in the coming days?

With cuts imminent and preseason causing concern about the roster depth, which positions do you feel most face 'turmoil' as game 1 nears? For me, in order:

LB - Cover for Luvu and Wagner isn't there.
Edge - possibly need to scout the waiver wire for a depth upgrade if not more.
QB3 - even if we only go with 2 QBs, the room is all but devoid of talent from #3 down. If nothing else the PS needs a guy that can help out the D at practice.
WR - I have to hope a deal is imminent with Terry, but in any case, we need to keep an eye out for depth talent.

WR depth is big one for me, couple vets just didn’t make any impact in camp.

LB is depth could be put to the test, but not as worried as WR

Cosmi/Coleman health is more of a concern than LB

But my top is our Kicker looks really bad.

Re: Which positions are likely to see notable changes in the coming days?

I don't take anything from preseason. It's all about the coaches putting players in difficult positions and then coaching them up from there. For example, with LB depth, the backups weren't playing with a scheme to help them, it was "go out there and do your best against the other team's 1level higher. It let's the good players see where they need to improve, and shows the coaches who to cut.
Also, if any team suffers a rash of injuries, or an injuy to a key position there will be trouble.

All that said - the defense as a whole needs to take a giant step forward to go deep into the playoffs and get to the SB.

There's a chance that the LB depth is a little better than we are imaging, Keim mentioned in his podcast that Ale Kaho is doing well and could make it on the 53 roster. We already know that coaches really like Magee, it would be nice if Kaho develops well throughout the season.

I wonder how many they keep? Luvu, Wagner and Miller (listed as LB) must be locks. You'd figure Bellore for ST, they like Magee and drafted Medrano so that's 6 already. Maybe PS for Kaho and Duke Riley?

K.J. Osborn cut as well, I was expecting him to be WR6 so they may be looking to pick someone up off waivers?

WR6 needs to be an asset on STs. If they go with 6 WRs likely they stash him on PS and look for a better WR option.

Surprise to me that they kept Ale Kaho. I think he’ll be the replacement for Nick Bellore on teams when he’s ready, but I figured he’d be a practice squad player.

Re: Which positions are likely to see notable changes in the coming days?

I'm expecting Brooks on the PS if he clears. potential to climb the ranks. A little surprised about Ferrell give how little quality we still have at DE. Be surprised if they're not scouring the wire for edge support.

Re: Which positions are likely to see notable changes in the coming days?

LB depth, kicker are concerns that are fixable with the waiver wire. DE is going to be what it's going to be (I'm not as worried as others, the run D should be better, but I don't really see monster sack numbers from them this year; we'll probably need to blitz a bit).

This guy is intriguing: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/655...n-valdez-hulk/

I think our depth guys are the D line are just OK (Goldman didn't do much in camp or in preseason games). It might be an area where we can pursue someone with more potential upside.
