Another great training camp report

I know Im relatively new to this site, so if Im stepping on anyone's toes by posting training camp reports from another friendly-free Redskins site I apologize. This is another great in depth report. We might want to think about extending Brown's contract now while he's cheap! Also, it looks like McCune will be a special teams player only his first year.

Re: Another great training camp report

Feel free to post articles from anywhere, as long as you give a link that's all I care about.

I've seen some sites get their panties in a bunch over things like this so thanks for being considerate and asking.

The reports seem like a very well written outsiders point-of-view. Thanks for pointing them out. They make an excellent suppliment to our own Joe Crisp's coverage, featured in The Daily Progress.

Thanks again for the link.

That last line about the George Jersey was pretty damn funny.

Sucks about Rock, but it seems he is doing this stuff to him self.

Re: Another great training camp report

rock hasn't really done anything wrong, but he's stuck between better faster rbs (portis, betts) and a bigger nastier one (nemo). last year he lost 20 lbs because gibbs asked him to, but what gibbs should have done is left him at his original weight and tried him in short yardage (where he wasn't amazing under spurrier, but he did alright).

The team just has more talented depth now than it has for a quite a while and the upgrades have left him without a defined role.

Re: Another great training camp report

Sounds like Rock will be squeezed out, dare I say he's stuck between himself and a hard place?

Yeah I know that's bad.

Sounds like McCants could be gone too with the emergence of Brown, I just don't see him sticking unless he really turns it up.

Gotta agree, it sounds like McCants could be out any day now. Cooley and Royal are fine possession recievers and Gibbs is supposed to be looking at how the Jets got the ball to Moss in the endzone so that he can incorporate those plays.

Re: Another great training camp report

sounds like brown could end up being a major player for the skins on offense as well as returning kicks/punts.

Re: Another great training camp report

If you guys are hungry for some training camp reports.... then feel free to read our training camp coverage. I've been there all 4 days of camp with one of our members... we've got over 300 pics, practice outlines, and complete play by plays of the scrimmages as well as general camp analysis. There's nothing like it anywhere else on the internet.

Just read the READ ME (each day of camp has 2 threads) threads atop the forum:

i really wish the put up a bulleted list of notes at the start, then the stats (ie ramsey 0/2 long, 2/4 medium, 4/5 short) and put all "hi here's joe, then we met john here" crap afterwards.

Re: Another great training camp report

Be glad that people are willing to take the time to post these sort of detailed reports at all! THis is a labor of love--no one is getting paid. Being in NYC, I love any scrap I can get--the guys at extreme (as well as Joe and our own posters) have been doing a great job.

Advice--just scroll down through the things you don't like .
