Re: Big Ben

Yeah he's a legit star.. My bro in law is one of those obnoxious Steelers fans so I didn't want to give him as much credit as he deserves, buying ito the 'its the system' hype, but he's the truth and you can't argue with his results.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Big Ben

He is Tom Brady to me. A above average QB in terms of skill but a fantastic leader and a guy who justs makes plays. Contrast that to our own Patrick Ramsey. A top skilled QB who justs doesn't make plays and doesn't seem to command the respect a good leader deserves. I think PR's issues are mostly a result of being in bad situations but one must wonder if this is a permanent issue or if he is fixable. I hope someone thinks he is fixable.
I hope JC can be a leader like Brady and BR. Roethlisberger has made me a believer.

Same here. It's hard to argue with his 26-4 career record.

Maybe Ramsey just needs to grow a bad beard like Brady and Roethlisberger did.

I was thinking the same thing, obviously Ben has a long way to go to reach Brady's level, but he seems to be headed in a similar direction.

I just dont see PR as a top skilled qb. Sure he has a strong arm but he has problems with touch passes and he is a slow learner and cant see the field. The touch passes can be fixed but the head stuff is how his brain is wired and that cant be changed. PR is jeff george without the bad attitude.

Re: Big Ben

Ive been impressed with him every time I have watched him play. I was also impressed with the way Hasselback played yesterday. For that matter I was impressed with the entire Seahawk team yesterday and after seeing what they did to Carolina makes the Skins look even that much better.

Re: Big Ben

He has football intelligence, and the arm to go with it, you can't measure a qb's field intelligence in practice, JC has an awful lot to prove before he can be considered a bonified NFL starter, let alone mentioned in the same breath with either Brady or Ben.

I just haven't seen enough of him in a real NFL offense to make that assesment. Perhaps it's the offeses that he's played in that had to be rewired? SS offense had him getting destryed before he could set and throw, and his brief stint last season with Gibbs, he did ok in a mediocre predictable offense while he learned as a backup.

This could be true.

If JC can play half as good as Big Ben, I'll be a happy man.

not to mention koy detmer and plummer...

ok, so it's not a "foolproof" theory, but it couldn't hurt, right? it's not like ramsey can get worse than third on the depth chart! (at least, it can't hurt the skins if the beard makes him worse)
