The Washington Redskins have signed free agent C Tyson Walter (Texans). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Born: 03/17/1978
College: Ohio State
NFL Experience: 5
listed as a T, but called a C in the blurb. started 9 games for dallas in 3 years before being picked up by the texans last year (and not playing at all).

listed as a 70 OVR in madded (at RG), i know nothing about him either.

this probably means we're not getting charles spencer in the draft

Looking more and more like a LB every day.

well he can't be that good if he was a backup for the texans...but he hopefully can be a good backup for us

considering that cory raymer got on the field last year, i don't think these guys will have to sweat too hard.

the skins just love a good two for one sale. now we just need 2 nickel corners and 2 starting LBs and we'll be set.

btw, at LB we've got clemons, khary, and mccune that most people know about, but we also signed jashon sykes earlier in the offseason:

played in 16 games as a rookie, 63 tackles (51 solo). in the 8 games he started he got 49 tackles, so he could potentially be a 100tackle guy... or at least better than holdman.

Ouch, from playing in 16 games, and couldn't even get an accrued season last year. Was he injured?

i have no idea. maybe he just got replaced. shannahan has a thing for 4.4 and 4.5 LBs.

Which I probably should hold my tongue about being that much of the Skins' 06 success depends on Andre Carter.

We may still draft at OL in the 2nd. It most likely depends on whos still on the board. But if we make NO move at LB, it certainly seems likely we'll draft.

Really deep LB class this year. That's where the value is, with respect to the Redskins, in this draft.
