Fox's Return next year

Fox Hopes to Return

for some reason i see this guy slipping away. i hope not but it would continue the trend around here. as simple a signing as this guy would make what do you guys think the odds are he stays. it almost seems like dudes like this show a glimmer of hope then we pawn them off to another team where they are solid starters. i honestly cant imagine this dude to be too much money and he seems to mesh well with taylor which imo is a must, that and he can cover.

I think he stays as the backup behind Prioleau. Prioleau is probably gonna be the starting strong safety next year. If we don't cut or trade Archuleta he's probably just gonna stay on special teams.

He can cover his eyes when gets beat over the top in a two deep zone. He is great on teams and thats it. He has no business ever seeing the field on an NFL defense.

Re: Fox's Return next year

I really could care less either way, he had a big game against Carolina, and a couple nice plays otherwise, but he showed no more consistancy at that position than anyone else who played there this year, imo.

I don't think the success or failure of the 2007 version is going to be determined by Fox.

The guy was o.k. but come on. If everyone is healthy, he is 3rd or 4th on the depth chart...

he was lion's special teamer of the year 2 years ago and was great on special teams. i think hed be 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart, depending on what we do with archuleta and pierson prioleu's recovery. depth is very important and quality special teamers are, and we have a good one here

He won an award with the lions?!? Sign him long term.

Seriously, if he is a starting safety for us next year we will be in the bottom half of the league, no doubt.

Huh???? He doesn't mesh w/ Taylor at all. Fox missed a lot of tackles and got beat deep. He's a teams player and that's it. If he has to play any on defense we are in trouble.

Draft a great athlete and let Williams turn him into a safety, The one thing Williams can't teach is athletic ability that you need to cover, so get him someone with that ability and let Williams teach him the rest.

Re: Fox's Return next year

Archuletta is the Redskins Ryan Leaf.
I hear him in the media complaining.
I've seen his game film.
He's not good on coverage.
Who's fault was this?

I like your idea about drafting a great athetle. As far as Fox goes, I seem him being atleast third string next year. Yes, it's true he played well in the Carolina game, he had that big interception, but Delhomme made a bunch of bad passes that game. And, let's not forget what happened in the Atlanta game when he missed that open field tackle on Jerious Norwood off of the strong side of the line and Norwood ran for like a 60 yard touchdown. However, I do think that we should keep him because I think overall he helps out a lot on special teams, and I think he generall played at a level above the skill level that someone who got cut from the Lions should play at. I think it shows the rest of the team how working hard can pay off, and it would look good to keep him.

I'm not a huge fan of Fox, he's alright as a reserve but we can't have him starting games again.
