Re: thats one candidate gone...

We're already in the process of converting Wade to guard plus we also had a visit this week from Zach Pillar. We'll be fine.

wait wait wait... I also read in that article that the Giants are about to sign Al Wilson? a MLB? Are they plannin on movin Pierce? Both of these guys are Prototypical MLBs that I don't think could play Outside...

I wonder what they're doing?

It has been reported that the Redskins do not have a great deal on interest in Mulitalo. It could be because of his history of injuries the past couple years. Plus, I think they're working on solving the LG position with the resigning of Todd Wade.

Re: thats one candidate gone...

I was suprised prior to the Wade signing that we didn't take a look at EM, but at this point I think Wade is the leading candidate at left guard.

If he works out the way I think he can, good chance an improvement over Dock, we would have made out big on the signing.

Yeah I read that in the other thread also. To bad we couldn't get Mulitalo in here to compete with Wade.

Piller signed a 1 year deal yesterday with Detroit for $760K. Seems awfully cheap for a guy who has been a starter for 8 years in this league. Although he was injury prone as well. And it appears Mulitalo was never even on our radar. Maybe we have confidence in the fact that we can bring in more O-line help after June 1?? Did Ian Scott ever sign with Denver? We could use him on the D-line...

That link also says that Detroit is about to sign Mulitalo to a 3 year deal! I refuse to believe we'd let the Lions take 2 guys we wanted. I guess maybe we were concerned with age/injuries with them. We must have something in mind for June 1st. Anyone have any ideas regarding the lack of urgency in bolstering the O-line?

Re: thats one candidate gone...

Wade will be fine at guard. It's been awhile since we have had a weak spot in the line. I think Jansen, Thomas, and Samuels have a way of making an average guy look good (see Fiore). I remember a couple of years ago, people were cocerned if Dock would be O.K.
