I hadn't heard that one. I knew they were based in Texas, though. RIP Bird.

She would have been 15 I believe when 7-Eleven was founded. Possible though.

It'd be ironic if she was the founder (or one of the founders) of 7-Eleven...and she died on 7-11

I always heard a different story on the founder of the Southland/7-11. I heard as a youngen it was a fella and his pickup truck.....is where it all began for us slurpee lovers.
