Big games in week 10 that Redskins fans should keep an eye on.

Dallas @ NYG: As Skins fans I would think we all should pull for NY in this one. It would be nice for NY to beat D and tighten things right up in the division.

Min. @ GB: If Minnesota were to somehow pull this one out it could turn out good for the Redskins come playoff time. GB already has one up on us. If they were to fall out of first place they could knock us out of a wildcard so we would still need to gain another game against them since they have the tiebreaker. Detroit is 3-0 in the division and only 1 game out of the lead, which brings me to my next game...

Det. @ Arz: Go Cards! The Lions are 6-2!! Detroit and NYG are sitting pretty for the 5 and 6 spots in the NFC right now. While Arz is not playing to well right now they can beat Det. The Skins could benefit from a Arz W!

There are some other games on the schedule this week but most are teams that are already behind us in the standings. While it is still early in the season, its not too early to start thinking about playoff scenarios.

At this point, don't we want the Packers to just keep winning? Just let them take the division and not fall into a wild-card battle with us where they have a tie-breaker advantage over us?

I'd have to agree. What we really don't need is the Vikings getting on a hot streak and jumping into the wild card race. The Packers just need to crush everyone in that division.

After re-reading my post and thinking more about it, you are probably right. I still would like to see them lose a couple of games. If we had to go to GB in the playoffs, well, I think we both know what would happen. I would rather see Det. win that division.

one loss by the lions and a win by us and we take their spot as wild card contenders. I dont think that the Lions will finish with a better record than us.

Yeah, I think we definitley want Green Bay to run the table, if possible. I don't care.
We just don't want to get into a tie-breaker situation with them. We have a lot better chance of beating Detroit in a head to head situation.

We beat the Lions, we didn't beat the Packers. Let the packers win the division.

Certainly we need to take care of our own buisness first, but it would be nice to get some help. I will keep an eye on all of these games this weekend but the NYG + Dallas game is huge. If you really think about it, no matter who wins this one, its good for the Skins.

but it is better if the giants win it and we beat the eagles then we are only one game out of first place.

Oh yeah! Much better. But if it goes the other way, its not that big of a deal. The Giants already got us once, but we still have Dallas twice. We have the oppurtunity to take care of Dallas ourselves.

they don't scare me. especially in the bad weather. they will not be able to keep up the passing game once the weather turns. and I'm sure Santana wouldn't mind seeing them again. and good morning giggity

We have a real test in the next 3 weeks. If we can get out of that with 3 wins agains tthe Eagles, Cowboys, and Bucs and have an 8-3 record than we really have a shot to win the division.

If NY can beat Dallas (I think they will), and we handle our business against Philly, we are only one game out in the division, heading into Dallas week.

Even two wins gives us a really good shot.

This is the toughest part of the schedule right here. Our December schedule softens considerably whereas the Giants' get a lot tougher.

Dallas is going to keep winning, but I can see them dropping 4 of their final 8. They still have to play us twice, New York, Philly again, Green Bay, and Detroit. If we beat them twice, we are a virtual lock for the division.

I don't see the 11/18 game as a probable win, but it's still possible we could hold the tiebreaker if we split with them. In that case, 11-5 probably takes the division, and that still gives us a one game margin of error against TB or Minn or someone.

True but I can see us winning 6 games in the second half of our schedule
