Shame Winey was cut

So Brandon Winey was cut...I feel bad for the guy, since in my local newspaper, there was an article dedicated solely to his return from injury. He said that he was excited to be returning to battle for a starting job. He had been out since july. What do u guys think. not too long ago, we were all discussing the possibility of a Samuels trade, and praising Winey, saying that he could take Samuels spot.

I must say I'm upset too. I'd much rather have the young Winey than the 41 year old Ray Brown.

I hope someone picks him up and he does well for himself!

Maybe we'll cut a well known cornerback named Ade Jimoh who seems to make an opposing offense look like superbowl contenders. Cut him quick.

Thing is Winney was a back up at LT with 4 games starters experience . On the line we need versitality and experience from players who can help now. Winney was good last year but I actually have faith in the front office moves.

You're exactly correct. He's in the mix down the line.

They must have seen something in the films of last year that they did not like. I sure was disappointed by the cut - thought he did well last year. Maybe TH's quick release made him look better than he was.

I think Buges knows what he's doing and I won't question it. I do admit that I did like the way Winey played last season, but we did go out and draft 2 tackles so who knows...

Maybe it's that Winey can't play guard as well. Spriggs can do both. But it seems weird at this stage in preseason, especially when you're looking for depth on the o-line. Maybe the injury is worse than we know?

I think it comes down to versatility and experience, and Spriggs has both
