Redskins daily articles: Smoke Signals

http://dcprosportsreport.com/2009/08/smoke-signals-all-about-the-41-million-man.html

Quote:
The Redskins are counting on DT Albert Haynesworth to transform their stout and stingy 2008 defense into a play-making and game-changing defense in 2009. Collapsing the interior pocket and helping out his teammates by drawing double teams is what the $41 million man wants to do. Read about it.

The link to the story about Alexander has a injury report that bothers me. This is the first I have read about MK.

Quote:
In the afternoon, Rogers, Skolnitsky, Roydell Williams and Anthony Montgomery (knee) sat out. Eddie Williams, receiver Malcolm Kelly (left knee) and defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth (left knee), Phillip Daniels (left knee) and Cornelius Griffin (right shoulder) did only individuals. Tight end Fred Davis (bruised left shoulder) stayed in practice.

This time of year its hard to take too much from injury reports as they hold players out for just about any little injury.

I'm not in panic mode or anything. Its just troubling to hear about MK's knees.

I haven't heard anything about MK being injured, but when they sit players out they have to list an injury and his left knee is what is being rested.

Re: Redskins daily articles: Smoke Signals

Redskins Insider noted the wrap on Kelly's knee, but Jason Reid asked him about it and Kelly said it was just a routine post-practice ice-wrap that he uses after every practice. It's meant to minimize inflammation and in no way indicates there's an injury.

It's like a pitcher icing his arm after a start. It's routine.
