Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

You know what I'm talking about. That guy who probably won't make the final roster but he'll tear it up in August and you'll say "That's my guy! That's my favorite player. With him we're hoisting the Lombardi trophy in February....arrggh, Snyderatto you're so stupid for cutting him. Buncha morons in the front office"

Who will be that guy for you this summer? Who will be your Sultan McCullough, your Babe Laufenberg?

I, of course, will be driving the Chase Chuckwagon

(DISCLAIMER: Colt Brennan not allowed because he is everyone's hero)

First of all Colt doesn't count because we all know he is going to be starting come week 8.

Seriously though, Marcus Mason or some other younger back should make the squad this year.

Mitchell will overtake Mason this summer. Mason is old news, everyone will be salivating over Mitchell as he snags those spirals out of the summer air, striding gracefully down the field, and burning 3rd and 4th stringers in preseason games. Jerry Rice Jr. here we come!

yeah, I thought about Alridge but I think he actually has a legitimate shot, as does Mason. This is more about guys who probably don't have that great a shot but you know you're going to fall in love with them this summer

Do you think he'll be better than Billy McMullen?

Re: Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

I'm helping to inflate Marko Polo's numbers! He's leading the pack early. I can hardly wait for TC to start to see those snags out of mid-air! I have about worn out the DVR for the eight saved games from last year. I'll let the newbies guess which games!

Edit: Ooooh! Forgot the purpose of this thread, and I already voted. Darn! No, I don't think Marko will be cut. I'm probably in the Chase.

Re: Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

You can't have a poll w/out Colt Brennan in it. Some guy the other day, saw my Skins cap and told me Colt Brennan should be starting. I couldn't even respond. I think I said maybe in a couple of years.

I'll go for Mitchell too. Mason will have another good preseason too. I'm sure everyone will want to replace CP w/ Mason.

Re: Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

I went with Mitchell after hovering over Daniel. I think Mitchell will make some long catches (which is the only thing that he did in college) and draw oohs and aahs. Daniel's fans will be drowned out by the Colt folks, I think.

Re: Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

I'm going with Mitchell. After what we saw of Thomas and Kelly in training camp last year, this guy will look like a steal. I actually think he has a chance of making the team. At least the Practice Squad. Go long! Go long!

Reminds me of Ernie "Big Ern" McCracken of Kingpin, "go deep...deeper."

Re: Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

Definitely Marko. He's Darkerian McCants, Anthony Mix and Billy McMullen rolled up into one (minus Mix's pesky alleged pedophilia).

Pineapple Jesus may be the funniest thing I've heard all week.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Mattyk's Training Camp Hero Poll

Are we supposed to vote for who we think will actually make a decent contribution to the team, or who's knob will be polished the most in preseason?
