Wow. I'm kind of suprised at the trades that have taken place.

I think The Browns got a good receiver in Bryant (albeit a jerK). He has good potential. Lord knows he's burned us a couple of times.

quincy morgan and antonio bryant are equals in my mind. both young recievers, former 2nd round picks, good size, good speed. pretty similar.

Morgan is a bit bigger (20lbs - something Parcells wanted maybe?), but other than that, you're right, they look pretty similar.

Bryant is younger and more explosive then Morgan. I haven't seen anything impressive from him. Maybe he'll fit into Parcells system better, I don't know. One thing's for sure, Bryant was never a Parcells guy. Hopefully Morgan does not develop into anything.

But, given Bryant's persona, it might be a push.

I would have to agree! First Qincy Carter get's cut. Now Braynt? Go Bill. I think you should cut Roy Williams next.

If you go on physical talent only, Bryant is the better player. But the game is not merely a physical one - assuming that both players have sufficient talent to be at the NFL level.

Bryant was a pain in the posterior at Pitt; he was less than a model citizen in Dallas. The fact that the Cowboys got anyting for him - not to mention an NFL caliber WR - means that the Cowboys got a good deal. Bryant was obviously toast on that team. In the Dallas loss to the Giants, I doubt they trew the ball in his direction more than once.

Morgan is not the guy who will be a gamebreaker but he will catchw hat comes his way and help you move the chains. He's a younger version of Keyshawn but without the big mouth. This move makes Terry Glenn the Cowboys' #1 deep threat...

Frankly, given what has gone down in Dallas for the last year or so, I think the Cowboys got a good deal here. The Browns might get a good deal if Butch Davis can find a way to keep Bryant from self-immolation. But that remains to be seen.

Ramsey, we needed speed..AB is not a speedster...heck, he had a 4.58 coming out of Pitt 2 and a half years ago

AB is a good leaper, is fluid, adjusts to the ball well and fights for the ball

An example is the catch over Smoot a month ago

AB's behavior is well docmented

Morgan is a legit 4.3 range guy...@ 6'0" and 210 he's a big guy but not physical...can make circus type catches but overall has inconsistant hands which from all Ive read is due to trying to run before he's secured the ball

When he does hold on, he's great after the catch--kind of a bigger version of Raghib Ismail

Morgan;s speed, in theory, will create more space for the short to intermediate passing game and the running game

There has been speculation at several Cowboys boards that this is a precursor for us pursuing USC's Mike Williams next year...Morgan and Mike Williams would be a beautiful thing ---with Glenn being the slot guy

I read that Morgan has a 70+ yard reception in every year he's been in the league.

I think Bryant is the better receiver, if he ever gets his head screwed on right.

I really hope Dallas got screwed, no explanation needed.

Memphis, the best explanation Ive heard on Bryant is he is a far, FAR less productive version of Terrell Owens---temperament and all:

Team never doubted Bryant's talent, just his self-serving demeanor



IRVING – There have never been any questions about Antonio Bryant's talent.

Ever.

But it takes more than talent to succeed in the NFL.

Bryant never figured that out.

Too many times he appeared self-serving, consumed only with his own statistics.

Like when he dunked the ball over the goal post after a touchdown with Dallas trailing the New York Giants, 37-0, in the fourth quarter. Or when he celebrated wildly after scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter of an embarrassing loss to Miami with Dallas trailing, 40-14.

The Cowboys grew weary of the constant complaining. And pouting. And temper tantrums.

Although he occasionally dazzled the coaching staff and his teammates with an acrobatic catch or a 100-yard game, owner Jerry Jones and coach Bill Parcells decided Tuesday he was no longer worth the effort.

Dallas traded Bryant to Cleveland for Garland native Quincy Morgan.

"We thought Quincy's temperament might have a better chance to fit what we want to do," Jones said. "You're trying to get as good a fit as you can get with your players."

Although he had first-round talent, Bryant dropped into the second round of the 2002 draft because teams had concerns about attitude.

Bryant's behavior nearly cost him a roster spot in June, when he and Parcells had an altercation that resulted in Bryant hurling a sweaty jersey in the coach's face. Club security removed him from the premises.

A contrite Bryant later met with Parcells to discuss the incident.

But Johnson didn't like playing behind Keyshawn Johnson, one of Parcells' favorites. No matter what he did on the field, Bryant didn't think he would ever start ahead of Johnson – and it infuriated him.

In Cleveland, Bryant will be reunited with defensive coordinator Dave Campo, his head coach as a rookie with the Cowboys. He's also close with Buddy Morris, Cleveland's strength and conditioning coach, who served the same role at Pitt, where Bryant attended college.

"I'm somewhere where someone is aware of what kind of guy I am. Honestly, I don't care what my role is [in Cleveland]. Whatever they ask me to do, I will do," Bryant said. "It's a lot easier playing with people that you're used to. For Keyshawn, I'm sure being around coach Parcells made him happy."

Bryant caught 16 passes for 266 yards in the first five games.

Last week, Parcells even praised him for running well after making catches and running over cornerbacks to get first downs.

He caught eight passes for 112 yards against Minnesota, and his spectacular 48-yard catch against Washington ignited a 21-18 win.

But after a 19-14 victory against Cleveland, receivers coach Todd Haley – his arm around Bryant's shoulder – consoled the receiver as they walked off the field because Bryant caught only three passes.

Against the Giants, Bryant didn't sell a pass route hard enough to convince cornerback Will Allen, who drifted toward Richie Anderson, who should have been wide open for a pass from Johnson that should have resulted in a touchdown.

And on Sunday, Bryant left the huddle late and cost the Cowboys 5 yards for an illegal participation penalty against Pittsburgh.

The Cowboys had already decided they weren't going to give Bryant a long-term, lucrative deal when he became a free agent after this season.

It made sense to trade him.

"It's undeserved," Bryant said of his reputation. "It's about people understanding you and figuring you out. I have fire. I'm a young guy, and I should be a lot further along in this game than I was in Dallas."

Living in Texas.............it all started back in training camp when Bryant threw his jersey in Parcells face........a scuffle insued and Bryant "disappeared" from camp for a few days............ I guess the situation has escalated over the time and Parcells had had enough!!!!!!!!!
