Yeah not for the feint of heart. Imagine being put through the ringer every year to keep your job. Gotta suck. Especially for the established fringe guys like Vickers. He has some experience and fits into a few roles but eventually he knows that his age will eliminate him from consideration. It guys like him that get hurt by the NFLPA constantly squeezing more and more money from the NFL for veterans. Some vets like Vickers would certainly continue to work for lower wages than the CBA dictates. They get caught in the middle.
