A couple of Madden "glitches"
Anyone notice Michaels says the name "Bailey" once in a while when you're on D with the 'Skins? I know I had a few beers last night but I swear I heard him say "Bailey with the tackle" on one play. I was like huh?!
Then I had replay overturned that was just god-awful. Ramsey got hit just as I threw and Cooley had to go down to his knees to make the catch, but it was most definitely a catch. The refs ruled that the ball touched the ground.

ok, now I've seen the mother of all glitches and now I'm starting to get a little concerned.
I throw a TD to Gardner in the endzone, he jumps up and catches it, TD, right? Wrong. The computer challenges the spot of the ball. I'm like huh, WTF?? Keep in mind this isn't even a close call, Gardner was about 5 yards deep in the endzone. The computer reverses the call and spots the ball at the 1 yard line and takes the TD off the board. I'm scratching my head here guys, is it just my game that's funked up or is there something seriously wrong with Madden '05??? |

Oh yeah, check this out. On the Collector's Edition, when you try to create a player in franchise mode, the game freezes.

Matty, I had that ball spot glitz last year in madden 04. With Gardner to, he was in the middle of the endzone, caught it and took a couple steps, untouched. They challenged it and put the ball on like the five. I had no clue how they figured that one out...

I've had bad officiating in 'o4.
I had Ramsey throw to B Johnson in the flats at the 3 yard line and they called a fumble. I challenged the play because I was a TD down and late in the 4th. Had not even bothered to view it, just challenged on principle, cos the damn thing CHEATS (loads of fumbled punt returns for instance) and the re-play shows BEYOND DOUBT that the ball hit the back of his helmet and bounced onto the floor before being recovered by the Giants. I though, 'great' third down and nothing lost. They let the fumble stand!!!I thought they had actually factored in crap officiating! |

what i can't stand is how the players "SNAP, CRACKLE and POP" into their low polygon versions right in your face. the distance they do this is WAY too close (this isnt supposed to happen on a xbox), and the two versions are way too different. my OLine will suddenly gain 50lbs then back again. its really disconcerting.
and have you seen the referee FLOAT across the field?? wtf?? |

I haven't see the ref float but I have noticed the lineman blimping up and down. It happened on '04 and now on '05. Kinda annoying that they can't fix something like that.

the ref 'floats' after every play. he puts the ball down on the line of schrimmage than 'runs' away, only he's moving twice as fast as his legs move and looks like he's six inches above the ground.
they CAN fix that popping! all they have to do is make the lower-polygon versions closer to the SAME dimensions as the original. its mind boggling they wouldnt spend some time on this detail, its right in our faces. |

The probelm I believe is that they didn't record every name, just the most popular ones. I'd lay odds the others are parsed based on the spellings (i.e. Trobor instead of Trotter last year). That is actually inexcusable if the game is teated properly, but I guess Tiburon have never been great at play testing, considering the bulk of bad visual if not game play bugs that still appear. |

in the trainning camp stuff, the end celecbration... the last digit on a player's jersey number flashes off and on and then stays off... that's crappy.
